Take a short break and visit West Sussex
We are located 8 miles north of Worthing on the outskirts of the small village of West Chiltington, set in our own grounds with ample free car parking.
There are many local attractions, picturesque towns and villages, historic houses and gardens, all within a short drive from the hotel.
Arundel is only 15 minutes away where you can tour the famous castle, visit the Wildfowl & Wetlands Centre, go rowing on the lake, or just take a stroll around the town and sample the local tea rooms and browse the antique shops.
Why not combine your stay with a day out at the races at nearby Goodwood or Fontwell. Goodwood also hosts various other events during the year, and its historic house & gardens are also open to the public. The All England Jumping Course at Hickstead, the venue for international showjumping, is also only 20 minutes away.
You are spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing houses and gardens to visit. The National Trust Estates of both Petworth and Uppark are nearby, not also fogetting Parham. Other gardens include Leonardslee, Denmand, West Dean and Borde Hill.
For a glimpse into the past, visit the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum at Singleton, with over 45 orginal historic buildings demonstrating the homes, farms and workplaces of the 500 years. Or take a glimpse into Roman life at Fishbourne Roman Palace near Chichester.
If you fancy a day trip to the coast, Brighton is just 30 minutes drive away, where you can shop in The Lanes, visit the Royal Pavilion and try your luck on Palace Pier.
